Through involvement in NYSTSA activities, a student may develop an interest in an official leadership role at either the Chapter or State level. As teachers and advisors, we enthusiastically welcome this sort of involvement in TSA. In order to help students come to this decision wisely, we wish to illuminate the various tasks and responsibilities incumbent upon State Officer positions.

What follows is a list from the NYSTSA guidelines defining each officer's duties. You will also find a contract that NYSTSA has developed to help students fully understand the duties and expectations of State Officers. It is our belief that this information will help students enter into a State leadership position, better informed and able to meet the duties and expectations of this role.
