Aarish Khan - NYS Delegate
Williamsville North HS

“Ideas won’t keep. Something must be done about them.”

—Alfred North Whitehead

Innovating technology into meaningful change – that's what drives me as Secretary of Williamsville North’s Technology Student Association chapter. I'm Aarish, and I believe that innovation happens at the point where passion and purpose combine together.

In the club you’ll often find me working to create the latest and greatest of my projects for events that range from Coding to Biotechnology; all the while blending digital innovation and imaginative creativity to push myself to the limit of my innovative capability. This is the same spirit that fuels my pieces in Scholar’s Bit, a newsletter that simplifies complex concepts in maths and science into simpler bite-sized stories to make learning accessible to all. All of this has taught me that true excellence is a result of loads of dedication to an art of one’s own choosing; which is why I’m here. To collaborate, innovate and elevate NYSTSA to new heights. So let’s start working together shall we? If you need anything, feel free to contact me through my email: kmohammadaarish@gmail.com

Aasim Khan - NYS Delegate
Williamsville North HS

For as long as I can remember, the simple truth that problems are designed to be solved has dominated my thoughts. This particular principle has motivated me to succeed academically and in leadership positions throughout my life. My name is Mohammad Aasim Khan; one of the delegates from Williamsville North High School. By actively participating in TSA (Technology Student Association) at Williamsville North, I have discovered my interests in technology and STEM subjects. As a committed delegate, I work hard to solve our problems creatively while drawing motivation from those who do the same.

Beyond TSA, I think it’s important to give back to the community by volunteering in a variety of ways. You can find me playing soccer or working on new projects with my friends when I’m not involved in school work or volunteering work. By making significant adjustments and promoting an innovative culture, I hope to have a long-lasting good influence on NYTSA. Finding solutions is only one aspect of my dedication to problem-solving; another is improving possibilities for those who will come after me.

Demos Mantalios - NYS Delegate
Jamesville DeWitt HS

Hey NYSTSA, I’m Demosthenes Mantalios, participating in TSA because of my passion for solving problems and creation. I am the vice president of my chapter at Jamesville-DeWitt High School where I enjoy tackling problems given for competition with my peers. I loved doing Senior Solar Sprint and Board Game Design with some of my closest friends last year in my first year with the program, and I loved to see the growth that came from it. I play the cello at and outside of my school which takes up most of my time, and inspired me to participate in Music production this year. I’m looking forward to competing alongside everyone this year! If you need to contact me, my email is:25dmantalios@jd.cnyric.org

Brian Tollar - NYS Delegate

Hi NYSTSA! I’m Brian, a passionate technology enthusiast and proud member of the Technology Student Association. As president of my school’s TSA chapter, I love exploring creative challenges and inspiring others to innovate. My favorite event is Music Production, where I combine my love for technology and music to create something unique. Outside of school, I enjoy playing the piano and cello, golfing, and bowling with friends. I also dedicate time to adapting toys for children with disabilities through my small business, TechByBrian. Whether I’m problem-solving or making music, I’m always striving to make a positive impact in my community and won’t fall short at NY TSA! If you ever need to contact me, email 25btollar@jd.cnyric.org.

Bohan Zhu - NYS Delegate
Ithaca HS

Hey TSA! I am Bohan Zhu, currently a 10th grader participating with TSA at Ithaca High School. I have been participating in TSA for over 4 years. I enjoy participating in TSA, particularly for the opportunity to meet other like-minded geeks in STEAM and Technology. Over my time in middle school, I have participated in Structural Engineering, Senior Solar Sprint, and Dragster at both middle and high school levels. Throughout these years, I have received 1st place in Dragster, 3rd place in Senior Solar Sprint, and other smaller rankings at the National Conference. When I am outside of school I play the violin and tinker with 3D printers and CNC machines. I am excited to see all of you at the New York State Conference this year and I wish all of you the best of luck! Please email me for any event suggestions at bz3@icsd.k12.ny.us
